DPT Know
GRE Advice
I often get emails about the best way to study for the GRE well- my fellow blogger Katie from My Road to PT did a killer job with this! I am going to link her extremely helpful post about how to study for the GRE click here
She does a fantastic job of breaking everything down so that first time test takers can get a good feel for what the test is about. She also makes it super easy for someone who is retaking the GRE to have some sort of study plan with tips! I couldn't have done a better job and have honestly not seen a breakdown this informative for PT students so take advantage of that!
The one thing I would add to her post is : Really check out Manhattan Prep GRE WITH Magoosh.com. Both went hand in hand for me. I used the Manhattan Prep 3rd edition which worked just fine for me, but there is currently a 4th edition out!
So just a quick break down of what I used :
-
Magoosh.com for text completion, reading comprehension, analytical writing, and math
-
Manhattan Prep GRE for math, reading comprehension and the analytical writing section( these books for the writing section were AWESOME)
-
Magoosh GRE Flashcards app - its free and helps you remember the words I loved this!
Two months of study time is recommended so get out there and study! For Magoosh - go to Magoosh.com to purchase a membership and for Manhattan Prep you can find books on amazon or their website.
And as always let me know if you have any questions!
